At MGB Electrical we have extensive experience in customising and machining enclosures of most types including Polycarbonate, ABS, PVC, GRP, Aluminium and Mild Steel. All of the work is carried out on CNC operated machinery. In addition, once the enclosure is machined we can fit glands, terminals, special back plates, etc. Employing several fully qualified mechanical engineers we can also offer turning and milling in most materials to high tolerances.

MGB Electrical employs several fully qualified mechanical engineers. We believe that a high percentage of our customers are now looking to purchase more than just components from us. Our engineering facility allows us to accommodate customer requirements to a high level.

First of all we have extensive experience in machining all types of enclosures. Most of this work is done on the 3 CNC vertical machining centres that we have at Tring. We have also just bought a new Gillardon CNC 3 axis co-ordinated drilling and tapping machine. We also have a Pneumatic Maxi-Press tool which allows accurate punching of mild steel enclosure doors. We can offer screen printing and also EMC coating to most materials.

Secondly, we have an increasing number of customers now coming to us for turned parts. We have many years of experience in machining different materials including mild steel, stainless steel, nylon, polyethelyne, Aluminium, etc. The majority of this work is done on our Yang ML15, 12 position horizontal machining centre and our Traub TNL32. The latter is a multi-spindle dual axis, CNC automatic lathe with live tooling and enables us to give competitive quotations on high precision turned parts.

The work produced is of very high quality and applicable to industries such as the food and packaging industry. We also do work for companies making complex Flow Meters, Gas Analysers, Data Recording Equipment, etc.

Finally, in addition to our subcontract machining services we manufacture a comprehensive range of model engineering items including steam fittings, wheel sets and fabricated parts. Call us for more details.
